Meet Our Team!

Kristin J. Thompson ~ Owner, Magazine Designer, Lead Editor, & Market Coordinator

(Wow, that was a mouthful!) Kristin J. Thompson (she/her) has always dreamed of owning a bookstore dedicated to not only providing her community with accessible literature, but also offering a platform for emerging writers who deserve greater recognition.

You can find her most days at the bookstore, leisurely reading books while sipping tea and occasionally writing poetry or an existential novel.

A passionate reader and fantasy author, Michaila Baron (she/her) has been captivated by the written word since she was a child.

A’iesha Rooks ~ Cultural & Social Integrity Director

A’iesha Rooks (she/her) owns D’BRND—an ever-changing and evolving brand and business dedicated to creating and sourcing unique handmade and vintage items.

She comes from multiple backgrounds ranging from social work to bartending, and uses those experiences to advocate for the marginalized and hold individuals (including herself) accountable.

Angelica Scheller ~ In House, Event Barista

Angelica Scheller is a 29-year-old with a deep passion for both serving her community and the art of coffee making. As a dedicated first responder, coffee has been an essential part of her routine, providing both energy and inspiration outside of her demanding career. Her journey into the world of coffee began as a way to find balance beyond her work as a paramedic, and over time, she has developed a true love for crafting unique drinks for herself, her supportive partner, and close friends.

Throughout her college years, Angelica gained hands-on experience in several coffee shops, refining her skills and further fueling her enthusiasm for the craft. Her connection to coffee continues to be an important part of her life, blending creativity and passion with her commitment to helping others.
