Meet Our Artists!

Kalli Brown is a mixed media artist who believes that the power of art lies in its ability to provoke a different emotion from each viewer. Art is a way to express the essence of what it means to be human and to create a connection between the artist and the viewer.

Morgan Simers is a visual artist and writer, with poetry being her LONG-STANDING favorite form of expression. she has been writing and reading poetry for over eight years.

Cierra Lowe was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, and graduated with a BA in philosophy & religious studies in 2015, as well as her BSN in 2022. Cierra has two full-length collections of poetry: Her first, "The Horse and the Water", was published in 2017, and her second, "Darken Your Door", in 2023.

Madelyn Suzanne is a shop owner, vintage slinger, and gardening connoisseur that owns a unique and cozy shop named "Black Rabbit Vintage", promoting & exhibiting the charm of vintage clothing, without the vintage values. (Photo by Kristin J. Thompson)

Raven Minor is a photographer, musician, and podcast creator of "Dream Girl Diary Podcast", which, within an impressive amount of episodes, explains her personal journey towards healing & enlightenment.

Kalaija Mallery is an artist, arts administrator, curator, producer, mentor, and self-described “art person”. She moved to St. Louis from Portland, Oregon in 2020 to work at The Luminary, and before relocating, started an independent art space called "Third Room": a sous-chef at a woman-owned, farm-to-table restaurant. Alexis Hurlbut is a multimedia artist & painter, writer, photographer, curator, and author of the poetry collection distinctively named "Celestial Cowgirl". Kelsey Jones of "Studio 715 Tattoo" was always into art/drawing when growing up. She found herself doodling in class or drawing on her classmates with gel pens. Kelsey impressively received a full-ride basketball scholarship and needed extra cash. She bought her first tattoo kit and watched countless hours of YouTube videos, and now co-owns a tattoo parlor on Cherokee Street. (Photo by Kenneth Williams)

Gogo Marz of "Studio 715 Tattoo" has always been passionate about art. She often drew as a child, ranging from cartoon characters to portraits of herself & friends, and has simultaneously always had an interest in body modifications, which led to her tattooing career and ultimately inspired her to open her own woman-owned shop on Cherokee Street in St. Louis, MO. Sherelle Speed of "Studio 715 Tattoo" is a creator, painter, visionary, tattooist, as well as a muralist. She started her tattooing journey because she wanted to immortalize her artwork and try new canvases, which changed the trajectory of her career, which is currently at Studio 715 on Cherokee Street. Reagan Yates is the shining apprentice of "Studio 715 Tattoo", specializing in hand-poked tattoos. Her style is focused on pointillism/dot work while taking inspiration from nature and other organic shapes. Polly J. Bland is a fashion stylist, vintage collector, and third-generation antique dealer. She grew up spending her childhood with her grandmother Jane in her antique shop "Plain Jane Antiques", which eventually sparked her interest and gave her exposure to the world of vintage and antiques. 

Shelbi Brünner has been surrounded by creativity since birth and took an interest in photography as a 9-year-old. At 18, she started assembling jewelry, then at 23, began creating cut-paper collages. Now at 25, she’s been featured in several shows throughout central Indiana. With each piece, she captures simplicity, movement, emotion, and light. Her main motivation is pure beauty.

S. Elizabeth Cook is an illustrious laureate and published author that has etched her name in the annals of contemporary literature with her recent notable works including "Yellow Light", and "Before You Go", both published by Olympia Publishers, along with "Strange Tales from Cherokee Street", published by Spartan Press.

Aly Camacho is an image maker, observer, and sometimes an illusion. She works primarily with photography and graphic design, and her inspiration for art is shaped by her relationships with herself, the people around her, and all the worlds that we perceive to exist. (Photo by Justin Solomon)

Grace Steidle is a culinary artist that has had a focal point on food since she was young. During childhood, she and her brother would regularly find themselves in the kitchen with mom. Dinnertime was sacred in their household. She acknowledges the connection between food and love that carried her through her youth and works to share it with those she holds close to her today. LA spent most of her childhood buried so deeply in stories that her parents begged her to stop reading at restaurant tables. Even when she was young, she knew that one of life’s greatest pleasures was to have a window open to the rain and a book on your lap. She likes all things small, kind, hidden, and beautiful. Her poetry has heavy influence in storytelling and wonder.

Textile artist & business owner Victoria Cates is known also as Tori. In classic Gemini fashion, she embodies both of these names as if they are two different people. Victoria is an illustrious artist, with creative life experience and mastery in the fields of design, embroidery, and illustration. Tori is the kind-hearted, silly, animal-loving, almost childlike spirit of nature that will joyfully dance around a field in a ballgown while sharing outrageous stories. Both of them play equally important roles in the creation and operation of her autobiographical clothing brand, Potion23.
